Job Description

This position will report to the Chief Operation Officer of HK & Macau and Regional CFO. He/she will directly manage the Financial Accounting Teams composed of GL, AP and AR headed by 3 managers. The teams have 22 staff responsible for Reporting, G/L, A/P, wholesales A/R, Fixed Assets Management and Tax.

He/she will be fully responsible for all financial accounting, reporting, finance internal control, tax and audit matters of Hong Kong & Macau markets, and working in close partnership with the Financial Controller, Regional Finance Departments and HQ to drive together overall financial governance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide financial services to Shared Services functions

  • Lead the teams to manage & perform financial accounting and reporting of 9 companies to ensure the integrity of accounting records (PnL and B/S) for completeness, accuracy and compliance with Group standards and local regulatory requirements

  • Acting as technical expert in IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) for the Hong Kong and Macau markets

  • Oversee and review day-to-day finance operations (include by not limited to):

    • accounts payable and account receivable transaction processing

    • bank reconciliation

    • month-end & year-end closing

    • fixed asset management

    • credit management and consignment limit reviews

    • contract reviews (finance related terms)

    • taxation calculation, tax return filing, compliance & advices

    • audited accounts preparation and review

    • finance projects

  • Liaison with HQ, Group Tax, Taxation Bureaus, Internal and External Auditors and Tax Consultants for all aspects of accounting, audit and tax enquiries and compliance

  • Drives internal control related finance processes and follow up recommendations from internal audit and ICS

  • Engage in process improvement initiatives and streamline standard operating procedures to increase operational efficiencies

REQUIREMENTS

  • ACCP or equivalent professional qualification

  • Strong experience and knowledge of SAP and technical accounting

  • 10-15 years of relevant experience, out of which 5 years in a stable senior financial management role with MNC

  • Retail + Wholesale exposure a plus however not compulsory
