Job Description

  • Develop, execute and maintain a strategic reimbursement plan for each product
  • Drive the development of reimbursement for key products in prioritized markets
  • Drive health economics strategies for integration into the development, sales and marketing of the portfolio of our client's innovations in early development
  • Collaborate with Global Health Economics and Reimbursement (GHER) team to learn and assess how to apply the data and tools available. Be a part of the global GHER team
  • Develop economic models, dossiers, presentations and other materials to articulate and enhance the value of messages associated with new technologies
  • Facilitate meetings with health care professionals, and reimbursement and economic consultants as required to support strategic development and/or tactical implementation
  • Partner with Government Affairs team on lobbying efforts to increase therapy awareness, improve market access, and achieve reimbursement goals
  • Establish working relationships with related professional organizations, trade party associations and other key third parties to influence outcomes of critical market access issues


  • Bachelor’s degree in a life science, health economics, health policy, or related field required
  • Advanced degree (e.g. MBA or MPH) is desirable
  • A minimum of five years of Medtech related Health Economics, Reimbursement or Market Access expertise with demonstrated success.  Previous experience in, or strong working knowledge of, medical device industry, especially with functional responsibility in health economics and reimbursement planning and program implementation
  • Experience with Southeast Asia market access environment and ability to effectively communicate and incorporate regional requirements in overall strategic plans
  • Demonstrated success and experience in reimbursement and health economics in the support of product strategies
  • Understand key public and private payer policy infrastructure, payment methodologies coding and coverage; health policy trends, and current business challenges
  • Experience working with customers (payers, hospitals and physicians), trade associations, professional and medical organizations and ability to develop mutually beneficial health economics and reimbursement strategies and tactics to support portfolio planning, commercialization, and sales/marketing objectives
  • Formal training or experience in health economics and/or outcomes research a strong plus
  • Use analytical skills and judgment to solve problems with limited information at hand
  • Communicate complicated matters in a simple, structured way to internal and external customers
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with intricate planning and strong tactical execution
  • Influence management skills and ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization and between competing organizations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially presentation development
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills and experience working with various internal business partners (especially Sales, Marketing, Clinical, Regulatory, Legal, and Government Affairs staff) to provide insight into key market access issues
  • Regional and international travel up to 25%
