Job Description
The Procurement cum Export Manager in Pharmaceuticals will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process for pharmaceutical products and managing the export operations to China.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of pharmaceutical products.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to optimize value and maintain product quality.
- Manage the full export process to China, including preparation and verification of required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant international trade regulations and pharmaceutical export standards.
- Oversee logistics and shipping arrangements, ensuring smooth and timely delivery of goods.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends to anticipate changes in supply availability, pricing, and customer demand.
- Identify and evaluate new suppliers and customers to support the company’s expansion strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including regulatory, finance, and operations, to support end-to-end procurement and export activities.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement efficiency, export timelines, and supplier performance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Business, Supply Chain Management, or Pharmaceutical Sciences
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement within the pharmaceutical industry
- Proven experience in handling exports to China, including knowledge of regulations and documentation requirements
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software
- Fluency in English, with knowledge of Mandarin being a plus
- Willingness to travel as needed
