Job Description

The Procurement cum Export Manager in Pharmaceuticals will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process for pharmaceutical products and managing the export operations to China

  1. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of pharmaceutical products.
  2. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to optimize value and maintain product quality.
  3. Manage the full export process to China, including preparation and verification of required documentation.
  4. Ensure compliance with all relevant international trade regulations and pharmaceutical export standards.
  5. Oversee logistics and shipping arrangements, ensuring smooth and timely delivery of goods.
  6. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders.
  7. Monitor market trends to anticipate changes in supply availability, pricing, and customer demand.
  8. Identify and evaluate new suppliers and customers to support the company’s expansion strategies.
  9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including regulatory, finance, and operations, to support end-to-end procurement and export activities.
  10. Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement efficiency, export timelines, and supplier performance.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Business, Supply Chain Management, or Pharmaceutical Sciences
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement within the pharmaceutical industry
  3. Proven experience in handling exports to China, including knowledge of regulations and documentation requirements
  4. Strong negotiation and communication skills
  5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  6. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software
  8. Fluency in English, with knowledge of Mandarin being a plus
  9. Willingness to travel as needed
