Job Description
- Plan and lead research trials with a focus on issues/ challenge trials within business's facilities, ensuring scientific validity and adherence to protocols
- Develop and standardize SOPs for all aspects of challenge testing, including disease inoculation, monitoring, and end-point analysis
- Oversee test execution quality, including monitoring environmental conditions, sampling consistency, mortality recording, and biosecurity compliance
- Design and implement a reporting and data management system to track trial progress, performance trends
- Conduct data analysis and interpretation to generate performance summaries for internal review and external communication
- Provide training and supervision to technicians and team staff involved in challenge trials and sampling procedures
- Ensure that all procedures are in line with local regulatory standards and animal welfare requirements
Job Requirements
- Master's Degree in Science in Animal Health, Pathobiology, Aquaculture or any related fields
- Training or certification in aquatic animal diagnostics, laboratory quality systems, or biosecurity is an advantage
- Experience in managing or executing challenge trials in aquatic species
- Familiarity with molecular, histological, or microbiological diagnostic tools
- Capability in using statistical tools and software to analyze trial data
- Strong organizational and communication skills for coordinating across departments
