Senior Equipment Engineer / Lead Engineer (Photovoltaic Cell)


Project Deployment: Overseas (Southeast Asia / South Asia)
Focus: Photovoltaic Cell Manufacturing
Employment Type: Permanent (Project-based overseas assignment)

Key Responsibilities

Production Line Equipment Operation & Maintenance

  • Take ownership of assigned photovoltaic cell equipment sections, ensuring long-term stable operation and performance tracking

  • Lead daily equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and anomaly resolution on the production line

  • Respond rapidly to major equipment breakdowns and direct on-site recovery actions

Equipment Optimization & Improvement

  • Analyze production data and equipment performance to identify improvement opportunities

  • Lead equipment debugging, optimization, and technical modifications to improve yield and efficiency

  • Benchmark equipment solutions and best practices from other leading PV manufacturers and adapt them to local site conditions

Project & Performance Ownership

  • Support overseas project execution including equipment installation, commissioning, and ramp-up

  • Translate departmental KPIs into actionable plans and deliver measurable results

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety, uptime, yield, and cost

People Leadership (for Senior / Team Lead roles)

  • Assign tasks, coach engineers, and ensure safe and stable equipment operations

  • Develop junior engineers’ technical capabilities and on-site problem-solving skills

  • Build a disciplined, execution-focused engineering culture on-site


Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering or related discipline

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in photovoltaic cell manufacturing
    (Solar module experience alone is not suitable)

  • Strong knowledge of crystalline silicon cell equipment
    (Wet process, high-temperature furnaces, coating, scribing / screen printing)

  • Proven ability to handle on-site equipment emergencies and production issues

  • Willingness to relocate overseas for medium- to long-term project assignments (6–8 months or longer)

Highly Preferred

  • Experience with TOPCon cell production lines

  • Exposure to automation, robotics, special gases, HVAC, electrical systems

  • Prior overseas or Southeast Asia project experience

  • Experience leading or mentoring engineers (for senior roles)

  • Mandarin and English proficiency to work with regional teams and China-based counterparts
