About the Opportunity

A global market leader in pharmaceutical ingredient solutions is strengthening its commercial leadership across key high-growth Asia Pacific markets. This role owns a strategically important territory anchored by Indonesia, the region’s largest market, with additional coverage across Pakistan, Vietnam, Myanmar, and the Philippines.

This is a senior, hands-on commercial role with long-term territory ownership, working through established distributors while maintaining direct relationships with key customers. The successful candidate will balance account management and business development, driving sustainable growth across multiple emerging markets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own and grow sales across assigned APAC markets, with Indonesia as the core revenue driver

  • Manage and develop long-standing channel partners and distributors in each country

  • Act as the primary interface with customer procurement teams, with secondary engagement with R&D and technical stakeholders

  • Drive revenue growth against existing KPIs while identifying new expansion opportunities within the territory

  • Work closely with the APAC GM and regional peers to execute commercial strategy and pricing discipline

  • Travel regularly across assigned markets to meet distributors and key accounts, ensuring strong on-the-ground presence

  • Monitor market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform commercial decisions


Job Requirements

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience & Market Exposure

  • 5-10 years of B2B regional sales experience in SEA/ APAC
  • Experiences managing distributors / channel partners across the region is essential 
  • Experiences from a distributor will be considered as well
  • Proven track record managing distributors and channel partners over the long term

Industry Background

  • Experience in pharmaceutical ingredients, excipients, APIs, or adjacent ingredient-based businesses
  • Candidates from chemical or food ingredient backgrounds may be considered if selling into pharma or regulated customers

Commercial & Personal Attributes

  • Balanced hunter and account manager: able to grow existing business while developing new opportunities
  • Commercially sharp, market-curious, and disciplined with numbers and forecasting
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating within a regional leadership structure
  • Strong relationship builder across cultures, functions, and seniority levels
  • Able to handle frequent travel and operate effectively across time zones
