Job Description
The IDC Sales Manager will be responsible for driving business development and revenue growth for data centre and related infrastructure services in Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities for data centre (colocation, cloud, and managed services)
- Build and manage relationships with enterprise clients, telcos, hyperscalers, and strategic partners
- Develop go-to-market strategies and sales pipelines for IDC solutions
- Lead end-to-end sales cycles including prospecting, proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure
- Collaborate with technical and delivery teams to design customised solutions based on client requirements
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in data centres, cloud, telecom, or ICT solutions
- Mandarin speaking is a MUST as this role will be reporting to Senior Mangement in China.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing large enterprise accounts
- Strong understanding of data centre solutions (colocation, cloud, network, or managed services)
- Established network within enterprise, telco, or government sectors is an advantage
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, regional environment
- Mandarin proficiency is required to support cross-border stakeholders
