Job Description
- Oversee and coordinate end-to-end ocean customs clearance activities for both inbound and outbound shipments.
- Coordinate customs documentation and declaration processes for diverse shipment categories such as LCL, FCL, and special handling cargo.
- Validate shipping and customs-related documents to ensure proper duty assessment, product classification, and regulatory accuracy.
- Track cargo clearance progress, resolve operational bottlenecks, and minimize shipment disruptions or detention risks.
- Maintain adherence to customs compliance standards, trade regulations, and internal operational procedures.
- Drive workflow enhancement projects to improve service quality, turnaround time, and operational productivity.
- Generate operational summaries, review performance metrics, and provide insights to support business planning.
- Act as a key escalation point for customs-related support and coordination across multiple branch operations.
- Coach and develop team members to strengthen technical knowledge, operational performance, and service standards.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in customer service and logistics operations within freight forwarding or international transportation environments, particularly in ocean export services.
- Background in buyer consolidation operations, PO coordination, or shipment tracking management would be an advantage.
- Holding a customs license is preferred in line with business requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting functions.
- Proven ability to coordinate effectively with regional or overseas stakeholders.
- Capable of working efficiently under pressure and within fast-paced operational environments.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams, support operational objectives, and drive business performance.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
