Job Description

Reporting to the Associate Director Financial Services, the Assistant Manager will primarily perform collection functions and maintain the finance contracts. He/She will resolve any financial disputes in a diplomatic and professional manner and is expected to perform other related receivable functions. While carrying out the job, he/she will ensure that all audit requirements are adhered to.

 

The Assistant Manager is also required to perform administrative duties for the Collections Team in Singapore and other regional sites if necessary. Duties include making frequent outbound collection calls, receiving inbound calls, managing the team’s email account, call list assignment, termination & reinstatement paperwork, generation of reminder letters & welcome letters, arrange for mailing, payoff quotes, collections batching, month end reporting, managing of Australia Club Exit Statements letters and calling.

  1. Contacting members for delinquent loan instalments as well as overdue club dues (yearly).
  2. Assisting with the Annual Billing for yearly Maintenance Fees for the various clubs within Asia Pacific region.
  3. Maintain & oversee of the department’s mailbox to resolve member’s issues & problems.
  4. Prepare revocation summaries for management reviews & approvals.
  5. Prepare collection letters for mailing for all Asia Pacific Clubs
  6. Prepare surrenders and reinstatement paperwork for approval and updates.
  7. Preparation of the weekly, monthly reports for management reviews.
  8. Follow-up on actions with the month end ageing report.
  9. Assisting in the ad hoc assignments & projects from management from time to time.
  10. Undertake training for the team on the best practices for collections.
  11. Review & streamline processes to improve the efficiency & effectiveness of the department.
  12. Conduct yearly training sessions for Member Services team for Annual MF billing

Job Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Minimum GCE ‘A’ Levels
  2. Minimum 3 years’ experience in consumer finance collections
  3. Persuasion and negotiation skills are essential
  4. Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills
  5. Well-organised and has a keen eye for detail
  6. Highly service-oriented and is an effective team player
  7. Able to handle all matters in confidentiality
  8. Able to communicate in fluent English and Mandarin/Cantonese, in order to communicate with native speakers based locally.
  9. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
