Maintenance Engineer Expert – Filling & Packing Machines

Job Description

• Develop and implement the interval preventive maintenance plan for filling and packing
• Perform planned maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure machine reliability and quality
• Update maintenance checklists and suggest improvements to the preventive maintenance plan
• Participate in machine/system installations, updating documents and drawings as needed

• Coordinate maintenance activities with production team to ensure safe, efficient machine operations.
• Transfer technical knowledge and skills to technician teams and production staff.
• Advise on technical challenges and provide support during troubleshooting.

• Register work orders in SAP 
• Create and update new machine equipment in preventive maintenance plan in SAP
• Prepare maintenance reports highlighting performance result, activities progress and next actions

• Analyze machine failures using tools to identify root causes and preventive actions.
• Optimize spare parts inventory, balancing cost and availability while standardizing components
• Identify unplanned stops, initiate cost reduction initiatives and lead improvement execution

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field 
• Proven experience in preventive maintenance and machine reliability, ideally in the food or dairy industry.
• Expertise >5 years in filling and packing machines is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with SAP for maintenance work orders and spare parts management.
• Experience in planning, budgeting, and leading cost-saving initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of safety and food safety standards (GMP, ISO, HACCP).
• Deep knowledge of preventive maintenance, machine reliability, and troubleshooting, particularly for filling and packing machines
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop a team of technicians to enhance their technical skills and performance.
• Strong skills in maintenance scheduling, spare parts management and budget planning
• Understand safety standards, food safety regulations
