Job Description

Job Summary:

To take charge of material planning, procurement, inventory management, and cost optimization. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining inventory levels, fostering supplier relationships, and streamlining material flow management through effective use of ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Management

  • Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies for raw materials, components, and auxiliary materials.

  • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, terms, and conditions while maintaining product quality.

  • Evaluate and select suppliers to establish long-term, reliable partnerships.

  • Monitor raw material market dynamics and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.

Inventory Control

  • Oversee inventory levels and manage safety stock to ensure optimal turnover and minimize storage costs.

  • Supervise the receiving and dispatching processes to maintain accurate stock records.

  • Conduct routine inventory audits and take corrective actions as needed.

Material Planning

  • Generate Material Requirements Planning (MRP) based on production schedules and forecast demand.

  • Collaborate with the production team to modify material plans according to changes in production schedules.

  • Ensure material availability is aligned with production targets and timely delivery requirements.

Data & System Management

  • Leverage ERP systems for comprehensive material tracking and accurate record-keeping.

  • Generate insightful reports on material usage, inventory trends, and supply chain efficiency.

  • Propose system and process improvements based on data-driven insights.

Cost Management

  • Analyze and monitor material costs, seeking opportunities to reduce procurement and logistics expenses.

  • Contribute to product cost structure evaluations and suggest cost-saving initiatives.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 5 years experience in material management, procurement, or supply chain operations.

  • Proficient knowledge of material procurement, inventory control, and material planning processes.

  • Familiarity with plastic raw materials such as PP, ABS, PC is a plus.
