Job Description

  • Lead and manage all underwriting aspects of Casualty Lines of business.

  • Formulate and execute strategies to grow the target business for Casualty Lines of business. 

  • Maintain the profitability of Casualty Lines of business. 
  • Rendered technical assistance to both internal and external parties for underwriting matters related to 
    Casualty Lines of business. 

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical Engineering), Accounting/ Finance / Actuarial Science/ Food Technology/ Science/ Investment/ Business Administration (major 
    in Finance).
  • AMII/ CII/ CMII/ DMCII or equivalent insurance qualification.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Casualty Underwriting and/ or similar role/ capacity with minimum 5 years’ experience in a holding manager and above position
  • Basic computer operating and Microsoft Word/ Excel.

  • Sound Underwriting knowledge in respective classes of insurance.

  • IT literate.

  • Possess good presentation skills.

  • Possess good negotiation skills.

  • Possess good analytical skills.

  • Mature personality.

  • Able to work independently.

  • Agile and open-minded.

  • Self-motivated.

  • Team player and able to motivate fellow team members.
