Key Responsibilities
Research & Development (R&D):
- Develop new product formulations in line with market demands and corporate strategy.
- Improve existing formulas to enhance quality, efficacy, and safety.
- Conduct stability tests and packaging compatibility tests.
Quality & Regulatory:
- Ensure all formulas and products comply with FDA and ASEAN Cosmetic Directive standards.
- Prepare and review scientific documentation (Formula Sheets, PIF, SDS, etc.) for product registration.
Team & Coordination:
- Provide technical guidance and support to the R&D team in product trials and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Production teams to drive new product development projects.
- Liaise with suppliers of raw materials and packaging.
ERP/SAP S/4HANA Management:
- Maintain accurate records of formulations, raw materials, and testing results in SAP S/4HANA.
- Monitor, analyze, and report data from the system to improve operational efficiency and cost control.
Innovation & Trends:
- Research and track cosmetic innovations and industry trends locally and globally.
- Propose new ideas to create product differentiation and strengthen competitive advantage.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in cosmetic product research and development.
- Prior experience in team leadership or project management will be considered an advantage.
- Strong understanding of cosmetic regulations and standards (FDA, ASEAN Cosmetic Directive, GMP).
- Knowledge of skincare, haircare, and makeup formulations.
- Experience in conducting Stability, Compatibility, and Claim Support testing.
- Familiar with ERP systems.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA in R&D, Material Management (MM), or Production Planning (PP) will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
- Korean language skills for technical communication and supplier coordination will be a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking and technical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital tools.
