Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing initiatives and elevate procurement governance. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, audit-ready, and capable of reviewing and enhancing existing procurement frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive strategic procurement initiatives aligned with internal policies, governance standards, and business objectives.
- Lead and manage solutions procurement processes, including preparation and execution of RFPs, vendor evaluations using Q-scoring and T-scoring, and proposal assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define and validate scopes of work for products and services.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with new and existing vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality service delivery.
- Oversee the review of service agreements and contracts, preparing detailed reports and recommendations for approval.
- Ensure full compliance with procurement governance and reporting standards, including preparation for internal and external audits.
- Lead efforts to review, assess, and enhance procurement processes, with an immediate focus on an upcoming internal audit scheduled for January.
- Identify gaps in current procurement practices and propose practical improvements to strengthen internal controls and operational efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a relevant field, with at least 8 years of procurement experience.
- (Preferred) Background in solutions-based procurement (not just commodities), including experience with Q-scoring/T-scoring methodologies and RFP processes.
- Experience in supplier and contract management, ideally within sectors such as construction or project-based environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead process improvements and manage procurement governance, especially in preparation for internal audits.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with senior management.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and presentation skills.
