Job Description
- Involve in manufacturing costing and standard setting/revision
- Execute standard costing activities and ensure products are costed appropriately
- Participate in preparation of annual operating plan and monthly/quarterly forecasts
- Work closely with Production on volumes, inventory management & accounting in accordance with GAAP/IFRS
- Collaborate with R&D on new item/product costing
- Perform timely verification of production postings to ensure accurate reporting
- Analyse production order variances and investigate actual cost vs standard cost
- Review inventory reports for excess and obsolete inventory
- Prepare monthly operating reports, KPI dashboards and data analytics
- Partner with operations in process improvements and cost control projects
- Perform physical inventory counts, including cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies between books and physical
- Handle month-end closing and prepare journal entries relating to inventory, cost accruals, GIT, and inventory adjustments
- Run standard cost revaluations and maintain Bill of Materials and item master
- Support audits and external requests
- Perform any other ad hoc assignments/special projects as assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years of relevant costing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Team player with ability to work under pressure
- ERP experience required; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus
