Job Description

This role oversees end-to-end finance leadership for a stockbroking business and its related entities, with full accountability for group reporting, regulatory compliance, financial strategy, and performance management. The position works closely with senior management and the Board of a listed parent company, ensuring accurate statutory reporting, strong governance, and data-driven financial insights to support business growth and decision-making.

  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations across the stockbroking entity and sister companies.

  • Lead group consolidation and statutory reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual), including intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and Board reporting.

  • Ensure full compliance with SC, Bursa Malaysia, MFRS, tax, and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax agents, regulators, and bankers.

  • Drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, providing actionable insights against KPIs.

  • Establish and enhance financial policies, internal controls, governance, and risk management frameworks.

  • Lead process improvement, automation, and system enhancements to improve efficiency and reporting timeliness.

  • Develop and execute financial strategy, providing strategic recommendations to senior management and the Board.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, ensuring high performance and succession planning.


Job Requirements

  • Chartered accountant (ACCA, ICAEW, CPA or equivalent) and MIA member.

  • Strong expertise in group reporting, Bursa-listed environments, MFRS, tax, and regulatory compliance.

  • Proven track record managing full-spectrum finance operations and consolidation.
