Position: Director of Operations

We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead and manage the full spectrum of operations in a cutting-edge business. In this high-impact role, you will oversee manufacturing operations, warehousing, logistics, QA, equipment maintenance, and sustainability initiatives, ensuring that everything runs smoothly, efficiently, and with the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacturing Operations & Production Management: Oversee all aspects of manufacturing, including print-on-demand and offset printing, with a focus on optimizing production output, turnaround times, and sustainability goals.
- Automation & Supply Chain Optimization: Lead the integration and optimization of automated warehousing systems and inventory management solutions, ensuring seamless synchronization with production processes.
- Sustainability Leadership: Drive sustainability across all operational functions, from production to logistics, by developing and implementing eco-friendly practices and reporting progress toward sustainability targets.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Maintain rigorous quality control, safety, and regulatory standards, ensuring processes are continuously improved based on data and customer feedback.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all machinery is performing at peak efficiency through preventive and predictive maintenance and optimal spare parts management.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of managers, guiding them through performance reviews, setting clear goals, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.
Job Requirements
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years in managing manufacturing and supply chain operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Experience in high-tech manufacturing or contract manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Expertise: Proven expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies. Experience with print-on-demand and offset printing is a bonus but not required.
- Leadership: Strong ability to inspire and influence teams, especially in a cross-functional environment. Must be able to lead by example, drive change, and bring fresh perspectives to the table.
- Communication Skills: You must be a confident and articulate communicator who can engage with senior stakeholders, including executives and customers from global publishing firms.
- Character: We are seeking a confident, intellectually sharp individual who can guide and motivate both experienced veterans and newer team members, offering a strong vision for operational excellence while being hands-on and pragmatic.
