Job Description
The General Manager will lead the company’s growth initiatives in Malaysia, identifying new business opportunities, driving market expansion, and developing strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead overall business strategy, operations, and P&L for the Malaysia market
- Drive market entry and expansion across the agricultural sector
- Develop and execute strategies for AI, IoT, and digital solutions in plantation management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with plantation owners, government bodies, and industry stakeholders
- Identify and secure large-scale projects and strategic partnerships
- Collaborate with regional HQ on technology deployment and localization
- Build and lead a high-performing cross-functional team (sales, operations, technical)
- Monitor industry trends, sustainability requirements, and regulatory developments
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Engineering, or related field
- 10–15 years of experience in agriculture, plantations, or agri-tech industries
- Mandarin speaking is a MUST as this role will be reporting to Senior Mangement in China.
- Proven leadership experience with P&L responsibility
- Strong understanding of plantation operations and industry challenges
- Experience in large-scale project management or business expansion
- Exposure to AI, IoT, or digital agriculture solutions is highly preferred
- Established network within Malaysia’s plantation ecosystem
