Job Description
You will be responsible and focus on improving tool performance and availability, in charge of maintenance, diagnosing failures and implementing effective solutions to meet uptime requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Sustain equipment performance within a cleanroom environment to support consistent, high-quality production output.
• Continuously advance tool uptime and availability, drive defect reduction, and strengthen overall hardware capability.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programmes to underpin equipment reliability and improve mean time between cleans (MTBC).
• Analyse FDC data to surface improvement opportunities and translate findings into actionable optimisation recommendations.
• Mentor and provide on-the-job training to junior engineers on equipment operation and maintenance practices.
• Identify and drive cost reduction projects across the equipment portfolio.
• Collaborate with equipment vendors, hookup teams, and facilities to plan and execute tool relocation, startup, and commissioning activities.
• Engage directly with equipment vendors to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Uphold 5S standards across the work environment.
Job Requirements
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Equipment Engineer within a Thin Film PVD module in a semiconductor fab environment.
• Growth mindset with a genuine commitment to continuous learning and technical development.
• Strong analytical, logical, and critical thinking capabilities.
• Effective communicator with the ability to engage and collaborate across all organisational levels.
• Proficient in data analysis tools and methodologies, including FDC.
• Hands-on platform experience across one or more of the following: PVD Endura, LAM Sabre (Cu Plating), SPTS Delta/Sigma, ULVAC SME-200, Novellus Altus, Centura WxZ, and P5000 Chambers.
