Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager, based in Singapore, to lead a team of Applications Engineers, Operations, and Supply Chain Executives. Combining engineering leadership with customer-facing expertise and operational oversight, you will guide the team in designing high-quality intralogistics solutions while supporting sales from presales through to delivery.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Applications Engineering team, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and customer focus.
  • Oversee the end-to-end engineering process — including solution layouts, design proposals, mechanical designs, layout drawings, and Bill of Materials (BoM) — for both standard and non-standard intralogistics applications.
  • Partner closely with the sales team to provide technical expertise during presales and project discussions, ensuring customer requirements are translated into tailored, competitive proposals.
  • Manage the RMA process for key accounts, identifying issues and opportunities while supporting customer retention and upselling.
  • Provide technical support to production and project teams during assembly and onsite installation, while tracking project schedules to ensure timely delivery.
  • Oversee key operational functions — Shipping & Ordering, Procurement, and IT coordination — through two direct reports, streamlining workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and service reliability.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferably from the conveyor, material handling, or automation industry.
  • Proven team leadership experience — ideally managing a team of more than 3 headcount.
  • Proficient in CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Inventor.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and confidently.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Highly organised and structured, able to manage multiple responsibilities across engineering and operations.
