About the role
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will lead daily laboratory operations covering raw materials, in-process and finished products.
Key responsibilities

Supervise daily lab testing and make sure it follows established standards, procedures and work instructions

Verify test results and approve lab records and reports

Manage equipment calibration, maintenance and verification

Run quality testing of raw materials, semi-finished and finished products against national, international and customer standards

Prepare monthly quality reports, analyse trends and KPIs, and present findings to management

Lead root cause analysis of quality issues, non-conformities and customer complaints (5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, CAPA)

Coordinate corrective actions with Production, Technical, Purchasing and Supply Chain

Support new raw material evaluation, supplier qualification, trials and process validation

Coordinate third-party laboratories and certification bodies, including testing contracts

Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and FSC systems, including internal and external audits
Job Requirements
About you
-
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Materials Science or a related field
-
3–5+ years in QA/QC or laboratory management within manufacturing

Hands-on knowledge of lab testing methods and calibration systems

Working knowledge of ISO 9001, with exposure to ISO 14001, ISO 45001 or FSC Chain of Custody as an advantage

Practical experience with SPC, root cause analysis and CAPA

Strong data analysis and reporting skills in Excel; Power BI is a plus
-
Leadership experience managing technicians or inspectors
-
Good command of English (reading, writing and speaking)
