Job Description
- The Strategy Consultant will lead and support corporate and business unit strategy engagements across the firm's Korea practice, covering portfolio review, growth strategy, business model design, and market entry. The role carries direct client accountability from an early stage, with structured problem-solving applied to ambiguous business questions and conclusions defended at executive level. Additional exposure includes commercial due diligence and post-deal strategy for private equity clients, and cross-practice deployment as the Korea platform continues to expand. Cross-border collaboration with A&M teams across APAC and global practices forms part of the standard engagement mix.
Job Requirements
Requirement
- Lead corporate and business unit strategy engagements including portfolio review, growth strategy, and long-range planning
- Own market sizing, segmentation, competitive positioning, and industry structure analysis workstreams
- Drive market entry and new business mandates covering feasibility, entry mode, business case, and investment planning
- Support commercial due diligence and post-deal strategy for private equity and corporate acquirers
- Frame ambiguous business problems into testable hypotheses and design the analytical approach
- Prepare and deliver board presentations, CEO briefings, and steering committee materials
- Collaborate with cross-border teams on multi-jurisdictional engagements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of post-graduate experience in strategy consulting at a top-tier strategy firm (MBB, Kearney, Arthur D. Little, Roland Berger, or Big 4 strategy practice), or equivalent corporate strategy experience with demonstrable deliverable ownership.
- Demonstrated end-to-end workstream ownership with direct client accountability — candidates in primarily research or analytical support roles are unlikely to meet the bar.

- Strong structured problem-solving and hypothesis-driven analysis, with the ability to build and defend quantitative arguments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in Korean; English proficiency required for cross-border mandates and collaboration with A&M's global network.
- Valid right to live and work in South Korea. Korean nationals, permanent residents, and holders of a visa permitting full-time employment in Korea are eligible. Sponsorship is not offered for this position.

- C-suite or board-level stakeholder management experience
- Cross-border or multi-jurisdictional engagement experience
