Thailand is now the world’s #2 fastest-growing market for workplace AI adoption, up 36.4% year-on-year. Six in ten Thai organisations have already implemented AI in some form. These aren’t small numbers, and they aren’t slowing down.
But here’s what should give every HR and business leader pause: at HRnetOne Thailand’s June session, which brought together more than 80 HR and business leaders, we polled the room and found that 73% of organisations were using AI daily with no policy in place.

That gap, between how fast we’re adopting AI and how slowly we’re governing it, is the story of 2026. And it’s the reason this report was written.
Why This Matters Now
The conversation has moved on. We’re no longer debating whether AI belongs in the workplace. It’s already there, embedded in how we screen candidates, draft communications, and make people decisions. The real question in front of every HR leader today is how to govern it responsibly, before a governance gap becomes a governance crisis.
In this report, I break down:
- Where Thai organisations actually stand on AI adoption today
- Four risks every HR leader needs to manage, from data privacy to bias in people decisions
- How Thailand’s regulatory landscape compares to the rest of the world, and where ownership still remains undefined
- Three decisions leaders need to make now, plus a practical AI Policy 101 worksheet to help you get started
This isn’t a theoretical exercise. It’s built on real polling data from our own community of HR and business leaders, alongside the latest market research, so the recommendations reflect what’s actually happening in Thai workplaces right now.
An Invitation, Not Just a Report
If you’re one of the many leaders using AI without a formal policy, you’re not alone, and you’re not behind. But 2026 is shaping up to be the year AI policy shifts from nice-to-have to non-negotiable. Getting ahead of it now puts you and your organisation in a far stronger position than catching up later.
I’d love for you to read the full report and, if it sparks questions, to keep the conversation going with me directly
